Literature Text

There is always a first for everything,
But this is something I wished to avoid.
I think to all of the joy people can bring
As I fall through an endless, empty void.
This is the first time I walked back alone,
Staring around and up at the night sky.
Just me, myself, and I on the trip home,
No need for there to be any goodbye.
So this must be what loneliness is like,
Can’t say that I’m enjoying this meeting.
Going down the path on a broken bike,
I realize the past bliss was fleeting.
I miss walking back with you by my side,
But my emotions I must wisely hide.
Well, it only took a deeply personal and sad realization moment.... but I've finally squeezed out a poem. I can't tell if I'm glad I got one out, or sad that it had to happen like this. When you walk somewhere alone, it is so incredibly different than when you're with someone. I don't like walking alone.... it makes me think and makes me sad.... but this is how it has to be now. Just have to embrace the silence, and ride back on my broken bike.

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling lonely, I definately know how that feels. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here. I know we don't know each other very well, but sometimes a complete starnger can give better advice than your best friend.

On a much happier note, it's good see that you wrote something! It came out really good, that first stanza really caught my attention!!
